Barbara graduated from Bentonville High School in 1956. She started her family in Jackson, Mississippi, going to nursing school at night while working full time and raising her children. She returned to Arkansas with Bill, the love of her life, in 1992.
She was a beautiful water-skier, and loved gardening and dancing.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Dallas Clark “Bill” Gailey; daughters, Gina O’Hara (Bill) of Austin, Texas, Mona Crothers (Tim) of White Oak, Mississippi; grandchildren, Cassie, Zane, Ellery, Parker, Hannah, Taylor; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 stepchildren and their children and grandchildren; and siblings, Harvey Ricketts (Donna), Ginger Patterson (Gerald), and Dyan Venable (Steve), all of Bentonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Virginia Ricketts, and brothers, David and Tommy Ricketts.
All are invited to visit with the family from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. A celebration of Barbara’s life will begin at 3:00, where friends and family are welcome to share stories.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wonderful team at Circle of Life Hospice.
Her daughters would like you to know that at the time of her death, she had been a non-smoker for 3 months.
