

John was born on May 13th, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to John and MJ (Collie) Fielek.
John graduated from Plano Senior High in 1980 and then went on to attend Texas A&M University earning a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture in the class of 1984.
On February 15th, 1997 he married the love of his life Mina Jo Valier. They had celebrated 29 years of marriage.
John worked at Wal-Mart for over 22 years as a plant and produce buyer. Later in his career he enjoyed being a math aid for high school students. In his free time he enjoyed gardening and cooking for his family. He was also heavily involved in Gravette Youth Sports leagues.
John and Mina attended the Flagstone Church of Christ.
John enjoyed finding new experiences and enjoyed planning and taking long trips across the country and world with his family. He was an excellent cook and took great joy in preparing and cooking meals for his family and friends. All were welcome at his table and he knew how to enjoy living life. He was also an avid fan of music and his musical tastes and interest lives on in his sons.
John is survived by his wife Mina; sons Joel of Renton, Washington & Thomas of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Mother MJ Fielek of McKinney, Texas; Sister Jackie Bescherer of McKinney, Texas; Brother Josh Fielek of Williamsburg, Virginia; Nephews Jake and Trevor Bescherer of Los Angeles, California; Nieces Lily and Sadie Fielek of Williamsburg, Virginia; and Friends Jim and Denise Shortal of Marietta Georgia, Kristin Shortal of Nashville, Tennessee, Leslie, Kelly, and Gabriel Irvin of Gravette, Arkansas, and Cally Irvin of Jackson, Michigan.
John is preceded by his father John Fielek Senior of Plano, Texas and his in-laws Richard and Janice Valier of Du Quoin, Illinois.
A visitation will be held at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville, Arkansas at 6:00PM-8:00PM on April 23rd 2026. A celebration of life will be held April 24th at 4:00PM at Flagstone Church of Christ.
