Laura “Ilene” Qualls, 92, passed away on January 9, 2021 in Huntsville, Arkansas. She was born on December 20, 1928 in Harviell, Missouri to the late William H. and Edna Ilene (Goin) Fray. She was the loving wife of her late husband of 47 years, Chester Qualls.
Ilene was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence “Joe” Fray and William Dwaine “Pete” Fray.
She loved gardening, beach walks and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Sharon Qualls Sigmon of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Chester “Michael” Qualls of Arnold, Missouri; brother, Donald Fray of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Michele Hunt (Edwin) of Huntsville, James Wilson (Colleen) of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Melissa Feager (Donnie) of St. Louis, Missouri and Amy Gerth of Altamonte Springs, Florida; great grandchildren, Chelsea Page (Craig), B.J. Kirk (Sara), Sara Kirk, Megan Gerth, and Michael Mellinger; and great-great grandchildren, Ryder Kirk, Abby Kirk, Dawson Shackleford, Sean Mounce, Caroline Page, Cameron Page, T.J. Mellinger.
She will be laid to rest in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
