Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Brent Frensley Winston, age 70, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on September 24, 2022. He was born December 2, 1951 in Ardmore to Edward and Eloise (Frensley) Winston. Brent graduated from Northwest Classen High School and then went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business. Shortly after, he met Margaret Hadlock, and they married on June 24, 1971. Together they made their home in Oklahoma City and would welcome their daughter, Lauren. Brent worked as a petroleum land man, eventually “retiring” from Schonwald Land. He continued to work part time when his help was needed. Brent was outgoing and had truly never met a stranger. He was opinionated and was meticulous with details. He greatly enjoyed his church family at New Church, fishing, and spending time with his family. Brent was a bright shining light who will be greatly missed, but the family takes comfort that is light will shine even brighter in Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret Winston; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Brian Holt; grandsons, Edward and Thomas Holt; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Kay Winston; as well as a host of other family and dear friends.
Private graveside services will be held at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
