David was stubborn and ornery in the best way, with a big heart for his family, his church, and the things he loved. He was an excellent mechanic who enjoyed cars, horses, and all animals. He also liked spending time outside mowing on his mowing machine. Above all, David was family-oriented and deeply loved and adored his wife, RaeDeanne, whom he married on March 27, 1976.
David was a devoted member of Yukon First Church of the Nazarene and later Piedmont Church of the Nazarene, where he cherished his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, RaeDeanne. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Brian Kaup and Justin and Heather Kaup; grandchildren, Jessica Parsons, Dustin Parsons, James Parsons, and Lyric Kaup; great-grandchild, Mavis Mann; siblings, Dwight Kaup, Danny Kaup, and Darryl Kaup; as well as a host of other family and church family.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2026, at Piedmont Church of the Nazarene.
