Derrick Ortiz was born in Bronx, New York November 24, 1977 and moved to Oklahoma City at age 2 with his parents, twin brother and sister. His favorite sport was basketball. He served in the US Navy as a medical corpsman. He was taken to Heaven on August 24th 2010. He is survived by his son, Derrick “Brenden” Ortiz; his wife, Cathyrn, his beloved mom and dad, Fernando and Carmen Ortiz; twin brother Erik; and his dear sister, Erica.
