

Frances Evelyn Danner-King, 74, of Bethany, Oklahoma passed away after her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on July 27,2012. She was born on September 22, 1937 in Paris, Illinois. Daughter of Elmer and Lena Cunningham Danner. She was a 1955 graduate of Merrill High School and attended Olivet Nazarene University. She married the love of her life Eugene L. King in 1957. Fran was a warm hearted giver and hostess. Her favorite roles were as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Frances moved to Bethany, Oklahoma in 2007 after the death of her husband Gene in 1993. She retired after serving 20 Years at Ft. Huachuca, Az. Fran then began her beloved career as a teacher’s assistant for the kindergarten students at D.D Kirkland Elementary School. Preceded in death by her husband Gene King, daughter Deanna and a granddaughter Kristen. Survivors include her children: Marilyn and Clay Reaves of Bethany, OK; Michael and Jenifer Freeman King of Warr Acres, Ok. Grandchildren: Lt. Jessica and Michael Farrell of Clarksville, TN.; Adam Reaves, Bethany, OK; Sgt. Landon and Randi Moore of Ft. Lewis, WA; Tyler and Spencer Moore of Colorado; Dustin Moore of Sierra Vista, AZ; Aaron, Sarah, Emily and Jessica King of Warr Acres, OK. Brothers Paul and Sue Danner of Andover, KS; Dave and Joine Danner of Winston-Salem, NC. Funeral will be held on Monday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 3100 N. Rockwell, Bethany, OK with Rev. Jim Hill presiding. Friends are welcome for visitation between 6 and 7 p.m. Sunday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service in Bethany, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Ft. Huachuca National Cemetery, near Sierra Vista, AZ.
