

Kenneth (Ken) McCray, beloved brother, cousin, and friend passed away June 17, 2013 at St. Anthony's Hospital. Born on September 18, 1938 to George and Violet McCray in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ken graduated high school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Central State University with a degree in Physics. He was in the US Army. He was employed with Lockheed Missile and Space Co. in Sunnyvale, California. He returned to Houston, Texas to MD Anderson Hospital, later being employed with Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as a biophysicist. He later worked for the Oklahoma Tax Commission as a computer programmer/systems analyst. After retiring from the tax commission, Ken enjoyed spending time with his brother Bill, cousin Gale Foulk, and close friend Barry Canavan and family. He also enjoyed volunteering at St. Anthony Hospital. Ken was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his younger brother George William McCray, Jr., cousin Gale Foulk, niece Kimberly Denice McCray, and nephew Chad Evan McCray. Ken was an avid scuba diver, lover of old radio broadcasts and movies. His favorite times were spent with family and friends. We will miss his quiet contagious chuckle and child-like enthusiasm for new adventures like playing laser tag in the dark. Ken has left a huge hole in our hearts that will never be filled. Services for Ken will be held 10:00 am Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel. To honor Ken wishes, please wear your favorite casual clothes.
