Mary Ellen Covington went to be with her Lord on May 15, 2014 at ger home in Denver, Colorado. Mary Ellen was born in Oklahoma City on December 26, 1925 to William Webb and Alberta Duttenhofer. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School. She worked for many years at the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company in Oklahoma City. Mary Ellen married her high school sweetheart, Guy Covington, on March 9, 1942.
Survivors include son Gary, his wife Ann and son, Rod and his wife, Kathy. Grandchildren include Christopher and his wife, Melinda and Courtney Bowlin and her husband Kerry. Great grandchildren include Cierra, daughter of Christopher and Melinda and Channing, daughter of Courtney and Kerry.
Graveside service to be provided by Bill Merritt Funeral Home at Rose Hill Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 31, 2014. We wish to thank Crossroads Hospice and Denver Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. We also wish to thank May Ellen’s caretaker, Patricia Clarke, for her excellent care and devotion to Mary Ellen.
