Melody Amber Kelsoe

Melody Amber Miller Kelsoe passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Bridge Creek, Oklahoma after a prolonged fight with Addison’s disease. She was born December 29, 1979 in Oklahoma City to Kathleen Cheesman and David Caldwell. Melody spent most of her life in Bethany, Ok. She attended OSU-OKC where she studied nursing after graduating from Putnam City West in 1998. Melody spent many years in the mortgage and banking industry before realizing her dream career was in nursing and helping women who were victims of abuse at the YWCA in Oklahoma City. Her illness prevented her from taking her final test for her degree, but she was able to help a multitude of others in her service at YWCA. Melody was preceded in death by her brother, David Victor Caldwell, her father and grandparents. She is survived by her children: MacKenzie Kelsoe of Norman, OK; Kyle Kelsoe of Moore, OK; mother, Kathleen Cheesman of Bridge Creek, OK; father, Michael Miller of Oklahoma City; sisters: Chavonne Holmes of Bethany; Lauren Lynch of Oklahoma City; Beverly Moran of Tulsa, OK; Stepmother, Suellen Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; uncle, Aaron Bouse of Oklahoma City; and her second mother, Sandra Keen Mosthaff Russell of Mustang, Ok.

A memorial service will be held on Friday,March 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Home.
