Sandy was born on June 1, 1943, as the youngest daughter of three children born to Eryetha Heintz and Louis Horn. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Lee Mew, and husband of 62 years, Leon Cisper, her parents and her two older sisters, Earlene Betty Adkisson and Doris Loretta Racher.
Sandy is survived by her son, Leon Cisper, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, and their two children Hayley and Andrew, as well as her granddaughters, Stephanie and Kristy and two great grandchildren, Presley and Ava.
Sandy was born in Canute, OK, at the age of 10 her family moved to Oklahoma City. She attended Classen High School where she met her future husband, Leon. Together they shared a passion for motorcycles and cars, most notably, her red Corvette. She loved spending time in the sun and the yard, caring for plants, and saving any stray animal that came across her path.
Even as a young girl, Sandy was labeled as “ornery,” but it was this defiant streak that would later give her the courage and conviction to speak out against abuse of the elderly.
Sandy worked for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation for the majority of her career, where she met many of her lifelong friends. She was known to be a hard worker, full of spunk, and always laughing. A former coworker said, “Sandy came into work dressed to kill, then worked her tail off, but somehow stayed looking like a million bucks.” She had a smile that would brighten up a room and described as a wonderful woman and treasured friend.
Visitation will be 10am-1pm Monday, February 24, 2025 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
