Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Suzanne A. Dauster Howse, age 74, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023. She was born February 1, 1948 in Breckenridge, Texas to Charles Lydell Dauster, Sr. and Alverta Louise (Meyer) Dauster. Suzanne received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and would go on to receive her Master’s Degree in Education. She began her teaching career with her much loved second graders in Hawaii. In 1989, she started working for Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College in California where she would teach teachers how to teach and would eventually transfer to Heartland Baptist Bible College here in Oklahoma until her retirement in 2018. She was a teacher at heart, and even into retirement she was always taking moments to teach her grandchildren, her nurses, the postman, and even the random workmen that would come in to do household repairs. Suzanne touched countless lives in her 45 years of teaching and ministry. She married the love of her life, Roger E. Howse, July 26, 1975 in Hawaii and together they raised their children, RJ and Rachel. Suzanne loved teddy bears, sunflowers, and ministering to others by sending cards for various occasions. More than anything, she loved her three grandchildren. She was a woman of faith, love, and compassion who will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, RJ Howse.
She is survived by her husband, Roger E. Howse; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Jason Spivey; grandchildren, Samuel, Seth, and Jenna Spivey; siblings, Helen Dauster, Charles Lydell Dauster, and Tommy Dauster; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on January 17, 2023 at Southwest Baptist Church at 1300 SW 54th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73119.
