Tommy Joe Wells

Tommy “Tom” Joe Wells was born in Wichita, Kansas, on March 4, 1959, to Ray and Bess Wells, and passed into eternal bliss on June 23, 2012. Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in horticulture from OSU. Tom wed Beverly Butler on January 28, 1989. They were blessed with three daughters; Sarah, Virginia, and Katherine. Through salvation, Tom was made a member of the Church of God. He was completely dedicated to the Lord; thus he lived and died in Him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Bess Wells, brothers Ray, Danny and Gary, nephew Daniel, and niece Rebekah.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Wells; daughters Sarah, Virginia and Katherine; his sister, Debby Lawley and several family members and a host of saints.

Brother Tom was wonderfully delivered from a life of sin in 1989 and lived a victorious and holy life unto his death. He had a glorious crossing over to his eternal reward. Although enduring much affliction he spent certain of his last hours, when able, singing and rejoicing with those around him, exhorting them to follow him.

He lived the life of a true saint of God and was an example to follow of how to die the death of righteous.
