Marie Dorsch was born in Queens New York on December 8, 1938 to Stephen and Filomena DeCario, and passed away on January 13, 2026. She met her husband Bill on a blind date at Jones Beach and they went on to be married for 65 years. She was a devoted mother to four children: Bill (Teresa), Lynn (Eddie), Donna, and Debbie (David), and a proud grandmother to six grandchildren (Eric, Ryan, Lauren, Domenic, Nicholas and William), as well as a great-grandmother to Olivia. Bill and Marie shared a deep love for the beach, where they spent many days over the years, both together and with their family. Upon retirement they were regulars at TOBAY beach, took numerous trips in the U.S. and abroad, and visited their children and grandchildren. The family made an annual vacation to Holden Beach North Carolina for many years.
Upon graduating from Bryant HS in Long Island City she worked for the FBI and then took a long break to raise her family, before resuming her working career as a secretary with ADP Corporation in Melville.
Marie loved her family, traveling, music, keeping a wonderful home and supporting the activities and lives of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving sister Diane and predeceased by brother Stephen.
