Margaret I. Harrison, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018 in her home with her daughter by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, John Edwin and Elizabeth (Davis) Johnson; her beloved husband of 73 years, Willard N. Harrison; her brothers John Edwin Johnson, Jr. and Robert Johnson; her sister Elizabeth Collins; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Peugh; and son Robert Harrison. She is survived by her daughter M. Ingrid (James) Croisant, Binghamton; grandchildren, Craig (Stephanie) Matheny, Cannon Lake, Texas, Captain Holly Harrison USCG, Ingrid (Michael) Rogers, Binghamton, Heather (Paul) Bright, Houston, Texas, Joshua (Erica) Harrison, Reston, VA, Amy (Salvatore) Paolini, Endicott, and Megan Croisant, Chenango Forks; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Born July 5, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, PA Margaret attended Bucknell University. Margaret met Willard, the love of her life at Harvey’s Lake, PA where she and her family spent their summers. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Leader, a member of Eastern Star and a past member of the Broome County Doll Club. She enjoyed gardening, needlework and cooking. Margaret and Willard loved to travel, spend time with family and friends and they would often reminisce about all the great memories they shared together. She was a devoted wife, mother and a wonderful Mor Mor to her grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by all. Margaret’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her many kind care givers over the years; Kareen, Taylor, Gail, Cynthia and Pam as well as Dr. Boyle for her devoted and compassionate care. Family and friends may call at Chenango Bridge First United Methodist Church, 740 River Road, Binghamton at 10am on Tuesday, April 3rd, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, PA. In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Margaret to Chenango Bridge First United Methodist Church.
