Binghamton - Richard Harrison, 62, of Binghamton, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 in the arms of his wife. He was predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Catherine (Kay) Harrison, brother Charles Harrison and sister Patricia (Patty) Ryan. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Harrison, daughters Julianne (Robert) Shepard, Jennifer (Joshua) Weaver and Melissa (Kevin) Albino; his grandson Reed Shepard; brother Bill (Anna) Harrison, sister Joyce Horstman; many nieces, nephews and lifelong friend Steve Beyer. Richard is a graduate of Chenango Valley High School and Widener University where he was an outstanding athlete. His passion for sports continued throughout his life by supporting his daughters' efforts in swimming and helped in sustaining lifelong friendships. He dedicated his career to the family business, Harco Automotive. He loved spending his summers boating on Cayuga Lake and vacationing at the beach. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandson who will miss him dearly. We would like to give a special thanks to the nurses in ICU and Memorial 3 at Binghamton General Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 7pm, at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Nation Kidney Foundation in Richards name 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
