coached little league in the early 80’s. Bob proudly served his country for 3
years at the young age of 17 as a Marines during the Vietnam War Era. Bob
was well known for his love of animals and as an avid outdoors man who
enjoyed hunting, fishing and even picking mushrooms. Bob was a selfless
man who would help out a stranger without a second thought whenever he
saw the need even if it was to give up his last dollar. He believed in helping
and giving to others no matter what. Bob adored his children Lisa, Bobby
and Son in law Frank and was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments.
He not only taught his children but his grandchildren about the great
outdoors, how to be resourceful but also how to love unconditionally. He
enjoyed watching the younger grandchildren play basketball and baseball, he
was so proud to have been able to watch his only grandson hit a home run
over the summer and would brag about it to anyone who would listen. He
would often speak of all of his grandchildren and the pride he has for each
one of them. He would speak of how proud he was of the people they were
growing into and of all of their successes. He enjoyed spending time with
them in Georgia and New York. In lieu of flowers the family requests that
you make a donation to The Mercy House of The Southern Tier in Bob’s
name, (Robert Davis) 212 North McKinley Avenue Endicott, NY 13790.
At the request of Bob, we will not have a service, he did however request
that we throw a “PARTY”. The family has decided to host a Celebration of
Bob Davis on Saturday July 6, 2019 at Kirkwood River Park for Family and
Friends. Be prepared to share stories and remember the best of times! We
will also have a remembrance mass.
