Anthony Scott Jacobs

Anthony “Tony” Jacobs, 57, of Alexander City, AL, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at UAB Hospitals, Birmingham, AL after an extended illness. He was born September 24, 1965 to Frank and Blanche Jacobs.

Tony grew up in Moline, IL and graduated from Moline High School in 1984. He left Moline shortly after graduation and eventually landed in California, where he worked in HR for Amgen Biotech for several years. He married Alison Abraham in 1999 in California. They later divorced but remained friends.

In 2013, he moved to Alexander City, AL where he opened Cherokee Bend B & B. He ran Cherokee Bend until he was forced to close due to declining health.

Tony is survived by his mother, Blanche, Moline; siblings, Dot (Les) Buell, Marietta, GA, Gretta Knight, Silvis, IL, Frank Jacobs, Jr., Moline, and several nieces and nephews. Additional survivors include his best friend, Amy Choate, who stood by him throughout his journey, his former wife, Alison and his furry companions, Leo, Bonnie and Clyde. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Jacobs, Sr. and many other cherished pets.
