Rich, Audrey Friedman, age 82, of Mountain Brook, died May 4, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Alvin L. Rich; daughters, Julie D. Stein (Charles), Natalie J. Asman (Eric) and Alison L. Lewis (Jon); son, Dr. Craig J. Rich (Debby); and grandchildren, Carlie Stein, Bradley Stein, Meredith Asman, Jamie Asman, Jordan Rich, Daniel Rich, Kaila Rich, Alec Lewis, Leigh Lewis and Zachary Lewis. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Friedman Halpern.
Audrey was born April 11, 1930 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1955 with her family and met the love of her life, Alvin Rich. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who knew how to live life to the fullest. Her beauty, her sense of style and her love for her family and friends were some of her endless gifts.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Collat Jewish Family Services and Knesseth Israel Congregation.
