

Born on March 14,1929 to Gus and Maria Costellos from Greece, the last original Greeks residing on Collum Street. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Sam Pete Triantos and her grandson Peter Samual (Bo) Triantos, her parents, her brother Vick and Tasia Costellos, her sisters Olga Priles, Katherine and Gus Mitchell, Adrianne and Joe Boyd. She will be deeply missed by her 5 children Denise (Jimmy) Vakakes, Cynthia (George) Grammas, Pete Triantos, Dean (Gwen) Triantos and Mary Katherine (Danny) Watkins.
She is loved by 11 grandchildren and a dozen great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. She also has 1 godson, Alex Yearout and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was a proud graduate of Ramsay High School, a devout Auburn fan starting with her brother Vick Costellos and her nephews, Gusty and Tommy Yearout who played football for the Auburn Tigers. Throughout her 94 years, she was a beloved member of the Holy Trinity-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She also enjoyed being a proud member of Philoptochos. She co-owned, with her husband, Valley Cleaners for many many years!
For 29 years, she was an active volunteer at Brookwood Hospital serving and traveling with the Auxiliary Board as a past President. She made many many lifetime friends. As a 50 year resident of Vestavia, she met many neighbors on her morning 4 mile walks. We would like to thank Inelle Lee and her care team while she was a resident of The Town Village. She enjoyed her stay at Lakeview Estates. We would also like to thank the entire staff for the beautiful care she received at Campassus Hospice at St Martin's in the Pines.
