Dear Ed was an outstanding partner and a cherished friend.  Despite the miles between us, his influence was with me throughout my career.  Dear Jane and Family, thank you for sharing him with us and I know you have wonderful memories.  I"m so blessed to have had a visit with you in August.  You are all in my prayers. So sorry to hear that Ed is gone. He was a great friend over the years at All Saints' – and absolutely wonderful to work with on Stewardship, as our tenacious “pit bull” who always brought in those last few pledge cards! My thought and prayers are with you all.

To Jane and the family. Ed was such a nice person and will be greatly missed by those of us who knew him. His Penney friends will miss him at our coffee get togethers each Monday. Dear Poole family,

'Big Ed' was a fantastic person with a unique quality which made him one of my most memorable mentors.  He could charm the daylights of you and then eat you for breakfast!  He constantly challenged you to do better and always was quick to give credt to you for a job well done.  He was helpful and thoughtful.  When my first child was due we had no AC in our rental house and he made sure we got A/C.  He helped me learn that being a manager was a privledge and with that came a big responsibility to the people who you depended on.  He lived a full life and left a legacy with you his family.  May God bless you as you celebrate his life.

Uncle Ed was a kind, caring, happy and humerous gentleman. 
We will all miss his jokes, the sound of his laughter and his wonderful smile.

My condolences to Jane and my Uncle Ed's children.  I am Camille's youngest daughter in California (Ed's niece) writing to Ed's family and friends.  I have always been sad that I didn't know my mother's brother and sisters and cousins in a much deeper way.  However, I had a wonderful conversation with Uncle Ed at our mother's funeral in Peoria Illinois in May 2008.  Even though we were at my mother's funeral, Ed was so pleasant and warm sharing stories with me of his memories of our Mom and their childhood.  I know I would have loved being around him more if we had the opportunity.  I know he had a good life and a loving family.  That's is all any human being can ask for.  Although it is a time of sorrow for each of you, I am certain you have many beautiful memories of your husband and Dad that will live in eternity. I wish you well as you progress through your lives and know he is in your hearts always.  Fondly,
