She was born on December 15, 1923 in Birmingham, Alabama. At the age of three years old she moved to Greece with her mother and her sister to live with family while her father remained in Alabama to start a business. They lived there for nine years at which time they moved back to America at Patsy’s delight.
The language was difficult for her, but the Lord put George in her life who helped with her school work. Over the years they fell deeply in love and married on March 4, 1951. He was the love of her life and all could attest that theirs was a true love story.
Patsy dearly loved her family, friends, her church, cooking, entertaining and Alabama football. She was an active member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society at Holy Trinity-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She spent many years as the chair of the Pastry booth for the Greek Food Festival. You would also see her at restaurants and businesses around town selling tickets for various fundraisers the Society held. She was awarded the Archangel Michael Award for her lifelong commitment and devotion to her church.
