Born in New York to Harry and Dora Levy, she married Joe Levy in 1953, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage before his death in 2019.
She was a member of Temple Beth El and Birmingham Hadassah and participated for many years in University of Alabama Birmingham’s New Horizons program.
She is survived by her daughter Elaine Mitleider and husband Alan (Tampa, FL), her son Haran and wife Cheryl (Houston), grandsons Corey Mitleider (Gainesville, FL) and David Mitleider (Orlando, FL), granddaughters Emily Spinner and husband Joseph, Andi Riesenfeld and husband Brett, her great-grandchildren Hannah and Julia Spinner and Drew and Lucy Riesenfeld, and the extended Goodfriend family, all of Houston.
A private family burial took place in Birmingham followed by a memorial service in Houston.
