BYRD, ROBERT THOMAS Age 51, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Eugene "Charlie" Byrd, and his mother, Mary Ann Byrd. After graduating from Huffman High School in 1979, he attended Auburn University. Robert moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he had many friends and was an avid fisherman. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his father, Eugene A. "Gene" Byrd; sister, Susan Byrd Busenlehner (Johnny), niece, Annie K. Busenlehner; brother, Jeffrey S. "Jeff" Byrd (Melanie), niece, Paulina E. Byrd, nephew, E. A. Cole Byrd; and very special friend, Carol Phurrough. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory death cannot steal."
