Rose Marie Gagliano

GAGLIANO, ROSE MARIE, age 77, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 7th 2013 in the presence of her family. Rose was born in Asbury Park, NJ on March 9, 1936, but spent the majority of her life in Birmingham, AL. Rose was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. She was an active member of St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Rose enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family; her true joy in life. She is preceded in death by her parents S.J. and Freda Simon and by her beloved husband, Ross Paul Gagliano. Rose is survived by her three children: Marialana Watkins, Joanna Jones, and Paul Joseph Gagliano (Dawn); five grandchildren: Brandon Ross Watkins, Colby William Watkins, Zachary LaGrande Jones, Reagen Elizabeth Gagliano, and Ross Paul Gagliano; one great-grandchild: Kennedy Rose Watkins; and her sister: Jean Ann Hancock. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9th at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church from 5:00pm to 7:00pm; Rosary to follow. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 10th at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church. Rose will be laid to rest alongside her late husband Ross in Elmwood Cemetery. The Gagliano family would like to thank her caregivers, Takeba Brooks, Melissa Barbee and Tanisha Barbee for the daily love and care they gave to Rose each day.
