Aunt Sarah, 

I will miss you so much along with your kindness and wisdom within the many sweet stories you shared about Uncle Milton, family, friends, church and sometimes about yourself. I would have been there by your side to make you laugh, but as you know, the current times wouldn’t allow me to travel.  I heard that you were graceful in your passing as you were graceful in life.  My favorite stories were of your professional career, with your determination and work ethic that advanced your career that most women rarely achieved during that time.  I hope you’re having a party with Uncle Milton and the gang in Heaven.  I love you. - Ashley

Ken an I just watched the sweet words of peace and hope for our beautiful friend, Sarah. I shall look up the sweet song that Reid referred to and sang. Thank you for sharing the service and helping all of us, who could not be with you, to say good bye to our dear friend.  With love to the family.

All my life, Sarah has been a blessing and role model for how to be a kind, caring person. Her entire life had been dedicated to taking care of her loved ones. First, she cared for her Mother and Father throughout their lives and into their senior years. Sarah took them into her home with her husband, Milton. She also took care of her brother-in-law right after Milton and she married and for several years. She was responsible for the care of her Aunt Nannie too. Sarah unselfishly cared for everyone in her family. In fact it was only after the death of her husband, Milton, that she suddenly was alone and not having to care for anyone. She loved her church family at Trinity United Methodist Church of homewood and was very active with Sunday School, Women's organizations and other church functions. Her church family took fantastic care of her during her  illness and hospice days. We appreciate all that the church did for her and her many friends and relatives who were faithful to her until the end.
