

She attended Harding Grammar School; Sturges Junior High and graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1946. She married Javier A. Marquez and had three daughters.
After her children attended school, she began her career, first at Norton AFB, then the Social Security Administration Office. She later transferred to the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals and worked as a Hearing Assistant to an Administrative Law Judge. There she prepared cases and recorded the hearings. She retired and enrolled in CSUSB. She graduated in 1988 with a B.A. in Human Development and a certificate in Gerontology. Her last job was teaching English as a Second Language.
Again, she retired to spend more time with her husband and grandchildren. She was now able to indulge in her love of traveling, visiting New Zealand, México, Europe and Hawaii. Her lifelong passion of reading led to a reading club, “The Literary Salon” and for many years enjoyed good books and good friends.
She is survived by her husband Javier Marquez ; daughters Linda Marquez, Patricia Marquez and Esther Marquez-Day (Murray Day); grandchildren Andrian Chavez, Carlos Chavez, Celina Lopez-Lemore, Sophia Lopez, Mallory Day, Sinead Day- Marin; four great grandchildren Alexander Lemore, Sofia Lemore, Oliver Lemore and Camryn Marin; her sister Frances Villalobos; nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Green Acres Memorial Park & Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Avenue, Bloomington, CA 92316. Mass will be the following day, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. John 23rd, 222 E. Easton Street, Rialto, CA 92376 following Graveside committal to Riverside National Cemetery.
