Charles was born on July 18, 1932, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to proud parents Elsie and Herman Ford. He lived a life filled with love, adventure, and the unwavering commitment to his family and faith.
Charles's educational journey was one of determination; he finished school by the 10th grade and quickly entered the workforce, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic that would define much of his life. Over the years, he became a skilled roofer, carpenter, and mechanic, and eventually ventured into the world of business. His diverse employment history reflects not only his talents but also his ability to adapt and thrive in various roles.
A true blue collar man, Charles was not just defined by his work. He was a man of many passions and interests. His love for travel took him from the wilds of Alaska to the sun-soaked shores of Mexico, creating memories that he cherished deeply. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing and motorcycle riding, whether it be on dirt trails or the open roads. These adventures were often made sweeter in the company of friends and family, who were the center of his world.
Charles's spirit was that of a hero; he was faithful to his Christian beliefs. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Loretta Ford and his two sons, Glenn and Rodney Ford. His legacy continues to shine through his five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who carry forward his adventurous spirit and strong values.
Throughout his life, Charles was known for his kind heart and generous nature. He touched the lives of many in his community with his unwavering faith and supportive presence. A private funeral service will be held to honor this remarkable man, who lived a life full of adventure and love. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in his memory.
