

Linda Sewell, a longtime resident of Rancho Cucamonga, California, passed away on March 6, 2026. She was born on July 26, 1949, in Waxahachie, Texas, in Ellis County, to the late Elvia D. Willis and Pauline Aubrie Willis.
Linda Sewell graduated from Dunbar High School in Ferris, Texas. She later continued her education and earned her Associate of Arts degree from Los Angeles Southwest College in 1996, over 20 years after graduating high school, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.
Linda Sewell dedicated more than 50 years of service to the aerospace industry building a remarkable career. Her strong work ethic, dedication, and professionalism earned the respect of colleagues and friends throughout her long and meaningful career.
After retiring from the aerospace industry, Linda Sewell continued to serve her community as a crossing guard in her local neighborhood. She was loved by many of the students and families she saw each day, who often showed their appreciation by bringing her gifts and food. She treasured those daily interactions and the connections she built with the community.
Known for her strength, perseverance, and vivaciousness, Linda Sewell touched the lives of many people throughout her journey. Grounded in faith and strengthened by the love of God throughout her life, Linda Sewell shared that love with others through her kindness, honesty, compassion, and her straightforward spirit. She carried with her the values of hard work, resilience, and love for family that remained at the center of her life.
Linda Sewell is survived by her only child, Clezel Sewell; her beloved granddaughter, Milan Sewell; her sisters; Margie Burns, Drucilla Taylor, Barbara Johnson, and Dorothy Criner; and her brothers, Donald Willis, Alfred Willis, and Robert Banks. She is also survived by a host of loving family members including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvia D. Willis and Pauline Aubrie Willis, and her siblings, Theresa Paden, Elvia D. Willis Jr., and Mary Thompson.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
