There are so many memories that I will always cherish and love day after day. One memory however, made the greatest mark of all, our conversations about parenthood. They were just a few of them but you gave me such good advice and encouragement  about being a father.   I will miss these conversations but will do my best to pass on the same wisdom you shared with me with .  

Heather, Zachariah and Garcia family, the Rodriguez family will always be here for you.

First I wanted to send our families condolences to Heather, Zachariah and family. 

Rene, my friend. I could go on for a while about memories that we’ve had. But if I was to choose just one. I will forever remember the smile/laugh you have that is accompanied by a head bob. It still makes me laugh. Thank you for the plethora of memories. We love you 

Many memories that I have of my big cousin Rene but there will always be one that stands out the most. The one story that would always get brought up once a year during a specific holiday. That holiday is Thanksgiving.  All I have to say is COLD MASH POTATOES!!! Love yah Rene and miss you very much.  Thank You for everything you did for me with support and guidance. 



Rene, may the Lord wrap his loving arms around you and stand beside you, as he guides you in heaven.  You are now an angel... free at last from pain & suffering.  
We will feel your presence, as you comfort and protect Heather & Zachariah  for an eternity. It was such a treat seeing your face light up, in your super-hero "daddy" mode.  Always giving me pointers along the way.  Especially when it cane to the proper way to squish...Err...I mean swaddle him. Lol. 😉 Zachariah truly is and always will be your "Mini-Me." I love knowing my daughter truly was blessed to have YOU-the love of her life. Your devotion and strength and perseverance was a rarity.  How blessed she was to have you. Thank you for your everlasting gift...your legacy...your "Mini-Me" you left on earth, as a reminder of all  the good times, all the smiles, and all the laughter in which you shared with him and Heather. Thank you for being the perfect example of the way a husband should be. And thank you for giving my daughter strength.  See you in heaven one day. Love Momma Jan ⚘

 I’m sorry for your loss. May God ease this painful period for you. You and your son will be in my prayers often. May you find comfort in the Lord.  And lean onto those you can give you the strength you need.

On September 20, 2019 we lost my best friend’s brother and part of our Bethel family  Rene Garcia.  I still can’t believe it!  I met him as a rowdy elementary school kid.  He was always so full of life.  We would always tease each other and I called him “little brother.”  He was such a strong person and true inspiration.  He fought long and hard against cancer and handled it all so well.  He was a great father and husband as well as a firefighter, paramedic and sheriff.  I’m going to miss your humor, bluntness and laughing with you.  Heather and Zachariah we will continue to pray for you both!  Love, Marie and family ❤️

Rene gave my sister a love that nobody else ever has. He made her feel safe and protected. God blessed them with a healthy baby boy, and Rene is living on through him. Life seems so unfair at times...maybe Heather's Angel needed to go to heaven. He is no longer suffering or fighting to be a superhero, he is at peace. I know that he was super lucky to have my sister, and she was super lucky to have him. I remember the last time I visited..the highlight for me was him showing me his belt. I thought it was so cool, and was so proud of him for being so brave...Not only for protecting & serving, but for fighting the cancer. Rene would not have been able to fight so hard without Heather and Zachariah by his side. Heather, I admire your strength and dedication to Rene and I hope you find comfort knowing he is no longer suffering and is still protecting you and Zachariah all the way from heaven. I love you Heather and Zachariah! Thank you to the Garcia family for giving my sister so much joy. I am so sorry for your loss.
