Richards daughter, Qiana Joy Ellison, passed away on April 18, 2021. Her own daughter now has her own baby girl. 
Richard met Qiana’s eldest son Andrew Alize, at the age of one & a half; he also passed away and hopefully will meet his granddaddy in heaven. So many reunions in heaven!

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Ellison family. Richard was like a brother. During our teenage years, we were always together, laughing and having good clean fun. He was always a competitor, and willing to put in the work to better.

I am at peace with knowing you are at peace within yourself by coming forth to cast your burdens on to the Lord and making amends with me and my brother and for that God didn't want you to suffer long. Now you may rest peacefully daddy love your baby girl.

Riic was a great friend. He was a member of our Wednesday night crew for over 25 years. We shared many great times together. Along with many bbq's and Holidays with the family. He will be missed greatly.

my uncle RICK was a pillar of strength, wisdom and in a class of his own... a great role model of what life should , and very talented ,, especially in the architectual and mechanical engineering field.. a great teacher and thats the reason i am the man i am today.. my uncle RICK taught me to stand as a strong man  and stand alone... i love u uncle and u would be never forgotten. love u always .... nephew  Vance

My condolences to the Ellison family. I worked with Rick at SBCUSD. Rick was a good man. He taught me a lot. Rick would say things like " you walk slow, you see mo." He lived his life to the fullest.He would tell me about growin up in LA in the sixties and seventies. Ill miss those talks. Rest in Peace Rick.
