74, of Fontana passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home. Born April 24, 1939 in Scranton, Kansas to Arthur and Belle Hammond. He moved to Fontana as a young child and graduated from Fontana High School in 1957. Going through school, he met the love of his life Carol and they married shortly after her graduation. They were married more than 53 years. Stan worked as a Plumber with 35 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Stan loved camping in his RV, riding his sand rail in the sand dunes, bowling and listening to music. he spent most of waking hours in his garage/workshop where he built many projects.
He leaves behind a brother Keith (Diana) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, son Chris Hammond (Jill) of Loma Linda, daughter Elizabeth Romo (Ron) of Fontana, along with four wonderful grandchildren, Amber Hammond, Christopher Hammond, Meaghan Romo and Jessica Romo.
Graveside services will be held at Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, California on Thursday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m. at the Garden of the Cross.
