Abel Martinez

Abel Martinez, 24, of Bloomington passed away June 5, 2015 in Woodford County, IL. He was born in San Jose, CA on May 1, 1991. He loved his work as both sales and as a project manager with Superior Drywall in Bloomington. He loved to be on the water, kayaking and boating with his family and friends. He was outgoing, kindhearted and had many aspirations. He loved any kind of music, but especially rock and country. He played on the Superior Drywall Softball team. He did things for others without expecting anything in return. Abel is survived by his mother Francisca Martinez, his brother Carlos Martinez Cordero, his sisters Elizabeth Martinez and Jennifer Martinez, and his two nephews that he was so proud of, Ivan Cordero and Christian Almanza. Visitation for Abel will take place Wednesday, June 10 from 8 to 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 527 W. Jackson, Bloomington, with mass to begin at 12:00pm. Burial will follow the mass at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1002 Airport Rd, Bloomington. A reception will follow the burial at Superior Drywall, 3004 Gill St, Suite 700, Bloomington.
