Her service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Chenoa United Methodist Church. Rev. Deb Honegger will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1927 to Ralph W. Ferguson and Anna O. Harris Ferguson. Alice married William C. Rigsby in 1950 in Pontiac. They brought five children into this world and enjoyed an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alice is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Paul) Rayos, Mesa, Ariz., and Patricia (Frank) Stapleton, Bloomington; two sons, William “Stacey’ Rigsby, Bloomington, and David (Karen) Rigsby, Pasadena, Calif.; and one sister, Nila Johansson.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill; one son, James; three grandchildren; one great grandson, and 3 sisters.
She graduated from Mennonite School of Nursing and Illinois Wesleyan. She loved singing and nursing. She spent most of her career at Brokaw Hospital. She went on to work at the Hopi Navajo reservation, Keams Canyon, Az.
