Alice was married to the love of her life, Herbert, for 67 years. They raised five children, Craig, Daniel (Nevada), Laurie, Russell, and Wendy and were the proud grandparents to Ben, Chris, Amy, Eric, and Alison, as well as great-grandparents to Benson, Anderson, Sullivan, Quinn, and Nicole.
Her sweet gentle spirit was evident to all who knew her. Alice’s Christian faith was a very important part of her life. She loved music and singing, found joy in her hobby of collecting fashion dolls, and was a talented artist who drew beautiful paper dolls and clothes. Animals were always special to her and she was rarely without a pet cat or dog. The family travelled all around the country for many years in a 30-foot Airstream trailer. She also enjoyed table games, Scrabble being one of her favorites. The last several years, Alice struggled with Alzheimer’s. She might not remember who you were, but she could still carry a tune and knew the words to many a song. Her son, Russ, was her caregiver for many years as her memory faded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
