Blanche Ilene Hauptman (Schultz), 89, died August 30th, 2018 at Bethesda Southgate in St. Louis, Missouri. Blanche was born on March 23, 1929 in Bloomington, Illinois, middle child of the late James and Beatrice Schultz. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Donald Hauptman and her brother Charles. Blanche is survived by her daughter Terry (Jim) Marxkors, and sons Edward Jr, (Cynthia Jonan), and James (Christy) Hauptman. She is grandmother to Erin and Brian Marxkors, Ashley and Morgan Hauptman and Jaxon Cicinelli. She is also survived by her brother James and sisters Ellen Long, and Jynn (Roy) Zook. She is a beloved sister, aunt and friend.
Blanche was raised on a farm in Iowa during the Great Depression; therefore, she learned the essential values of determination, persistence and hard work. It was at an early age that Blanche showed great talent as an artist and seamstress. There was nothing our creative mother could not paint, sew, sculpt or photograph. Her love of dolls and doll collection are legendary.
Blanche retired from State Farm, Bloomington in 1994 as a Senior Life Operations Assistant.
Blanche was devoted to helping her children manage their busy lives and loving her grandchildren.
A special thanks to mom's dedicated care givers in Memory Lane, Skilled Nursing, and Hospice, at Bethesda Southgate.
