Deloris Jackson

Deloris was born June 16, 1941 in Downs to William and Zella Winslow Whitlock.  She married Ronald Jackson­­­­­­­­­­­­, Sr.; he preceded her in death in 2005.

Also preceding her in death are 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Deloris is survived by her children, Benita (Randy) DeVary, Brenda Stone, Ronald Jackson, Jr., Jeff Jackson, Jessica Carnahan and Jacinda (Carl) Jackson; 7 grandchildren, Jill, Jason, Tara, Jennifer, Travis, Arika and Emily; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Louise, Pauline, Shirley, Donna Mae and Mary; and 1 brother, Marvin

Deloris worked for 25 years as waitress in Bloomington at The Federal Café, Shannon’s Federal Café and Shannon’s Five Star.  She enjoyed visiting the Par-A-Dice Casino in East Peoria and spending time with her sisters and her dogs, Toby and Monkey.

A memorial visitation for Deloris will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4-7pm at East Lawn Funeral Home.  Private family graveside services will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Cremation rites are being accorded under the care of East Lawn Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to CISAR No-Kill Animal Shelter or Jacinda Jackson for memorial expenses.
