Donnie we go back a long time my friend you were the best man at my first mistake I remember you told me don't do it and of course you were right. From Jr High to High School from rock bands to parties and from IL to Ca we had some real good times I love you and will miss you old friend.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Donnie. I knew Don in jr high and high school.

As some of you may know, my brother, Donnie (as we all called him), was a very good musician.  He loved playing his guitar(s).  Several years ago he told me that he was working on writing some of his own lyrics and music.  He had a great voice for singing.
He also loved art.  In school he enjoyed painting and sculpting.  He was good at building things.  It didn't surprise us that he chose to build things as an adult.  He could build a fence!!!...or anything else that he really applied himself to!!!  Some of his best work is showcased around Bloomington/Normal.
Donnie was a pet lover.  Two particular dogs that he loved were Harley and Jack.  Harley was a real piece of work.  When Mom prepared food Harley felt he was entitled to help himself to whatever was on the kitchen counter!  Though Donnie would scold Harley for helping himself to the food on the counter, Harley still became the great "escape artist" when it came to food Mom made.  Donnie loved that dog and took him everywhere he went for many years.
I very much look forward to the time when Donnie will play his guitar to the most beautiful words and music.  At that time I believe he will REALLY 'rock the house'. Love you.  Sis.

Donnie - We've lost touch over the years but, I often wondered how you were.  It's sad to know I was just thinking of you last week and now your gone.

Heaven is certainly putting together a great Bloomington band. They have now added Donnie to the lineup along with Harry Lehman. It wont be long and there will be an ensemble of the best musicians from Bloomington dating back to the late 60s. Godspeed Donnie and you will be missed my friend.
