Gary L. Brown Sr., 71, of Bloomington passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. He was born January 18, 1952 in Bloomington, IL to James Jr. and Betty (Miller) Brown and married the love of his life, Roberta “Bobbie” Baker in Normal, IL in 1987.
Gary was an integral part of the Brown Wrecker Service, working as a tow truck driver, for the majority of his life. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be deeply missed by all who was blessed with meeting him.
Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Bobbie Baker-Brown; 4 children from a previous marriage, Becky Brown, Gary Brown Jr., Waylon Brown, Nicky McWhorter; several grandchildren; and brothers, Larry Brown and David Brown.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Brown Jr. and Betty Brown.
Arrangements have been entrusted with East Lawn Funeral Home and cremation rites have been accorded.
