I interviewed with Gary for my position at ISU.  From the first time I met him I liked him, and that liking continued for my 30 years there.  He was well liked by students, a good teacher, and a great colleague.  Always pleasant, always professional, and just a plain old good person.

I am sorry to hear of his passing.  Tonight I am sad.

My sympathy to the family and friends of Dr. Ramseyer.

Dr. Ramseyer was my professor for Psychology 440, Statistics II and Psychology 441, Experimental Design when I was a graduate student at Illinois State. I was never strong in mathematics before I took these courses, but he was a great teacher who made the concepts come alive! I always remember the excellent job he did in the classroom as well as his willingness to give extra help. He was one of the best teachers!

Kay, you and your family have our deepest sympathy.  Gary was one of the truly good guys in this world. I was one of Gary's colleagues in Psychology at ISU. After he retired, I often ran into him at the ISU Rec Center where he exercised. I enjoyed many lively political discussions with Gary over the years. He and I shared many similar views. His sense of humor as well as his general concern for humanity always made talking with him a worthwhile experience. My condolences to his family, I know that he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kay and Family, I know I haven't been in Normal for a long time, but I made sure I saw the "coffee group" every time I came through. I really missed Gary and the group. While I was at ISU I counted him as a friend and remember sitting in his office up the hall having animated conversations countless times. After I left I visited his oft visited web site to get a dose of the Ramsayer humor.  Michele and I want to express our sincerest sympathy to you and your family.
