Jackie L Rice

Jackie was born May 30, 1934, in Spiceland, IN, the son of Corrie and Fanola Burress Rice. He graduated from Fairbury High School in 1952. Jackie joined the U.S. Army in 1956 and spent time in Korea assisting with the installation of printing presses.

Surviving are two children, Jon (Renee) Rice, Normal, and Heather Hinthorn, Bloomington; five grandchildren, Hunter Fuller, Alexia Rice, Logan Rice, Rachel Hinthorn, and David Hinthorn; one brother, Jim Rice, Louisville, Ky.; and two sisters, Dorothy (Clinton) Denham, Pontiac, and Judy Green, Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Richard Rice; and his twin sister, Janet Speirer.

Jackie worked at Illinois Graphics for over 30 years as an offset stripper of photos and made plates for printing. He was a Cubs fan and enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at East Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday February 21, 2017. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with funeral services from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Military rites will be afforded.
