Born January 15, 1931 in Herrin, IL to Ophie and Lavina (Cripps) Hall, she married Edward F. Schweinberg March 15, 1952 in Crown Pointe, IN. He preceded her in death May 17, 2019.
Jane is survived by two sons Edward H. Schweinberg of Peoria, Ron (Bev) Schweinberg of Bloomington, two daughters Barb (Steve) McClarty of Gallatin, TN, Carol (Bob) Burger of Normal, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Her brother Jack (Millie) Hall and sister Sue (Jack) Burke also survive.
Jane was a lifelong educator in the Unit 5 School District. She was a pioneer in all realms of education including curriculum, technology, gifted education, mentoring new teachers, and administration.
Grandma Jane was known for love of family. Her home was always open. Summer at the lake and holidays will especially be remembered by family and friends. Great Jane and Big Ed were an epic and inseparable couple for 67 years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. East Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
There will be no visitation or funeral. Jane and Ed’s family will hold a private celebration in their honor at a later date.
