Grandma I will miss you until we meet again. I will always cherish the time spent with you. I will always remember the holidays, the camping trips and all the time I was able to spend with you. I find comfort in knowing you are with grandpa at this time. Love you always!

My sympathy is extended to each member of Jean's family. Our friendship goes back many years when my family lived in the same neighborhood as the Menkens. May each of you find comfort in the memories you have.

Aunt Jean and Uncle George and all the cousins were always fun to visit. When I went to college in Normal I would be at her house frequently. I babysat for the kids sometimes. Other times her home was my retreat from dorm life. The years passed and Al and I moved far away. The few times we got back to Illinois we always went to see her and Uncle George. She was my confident when I was in college .
A few weeks ago when I found out she was in a care facility I was able to send her a couple notes even when I was not sure she would remember her. A sweet person at the care facility sent a note back with a couple of pictures. I am so very glad to have them.
To my cousins who I haven’t seen in years I wish you comfort and peace.

To Kevin and the Menken family, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time, as you mourn the loss of Jean. I remember meeting Jean at the funeral home when your dad passed away. Jean had a smile that radiated the room, and I remember feeling very welcomed by Jean, as I was there in support of my friend Kevin. I also had the pleasure of meeting Christy and Marcia in Las Vegas several years ago when we all went to a Diana Ross concert together! May God bless you and keep you, and may you feel the comfort of being held in God's arms now and always. Blessings, Mary Hogg
