Kay was born March 15, 1934, in Bloomington, IL to Russell George and Dollie (Brand) Blakney. She married Edward Stults. Kay was a graduate of University High School and attended Illinois State University. She was a Graphic Designer for ISU until retirement. She enjoyed her many years of volunteering with Friends of Normal Public Library Book Sale.
She is survived by her three children, Lynn Stults of Bloomington, Steven Stults of Kalispell, MT and Jane (Ken Eakes) Stults of Roselle, IL; her granddaughter, Katherine Eakes of Roselle, IL; and one sister, Barb Henderson of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Stults; one grandson, Nathan Stults; two sisters, Sandra Smith and Judy Mayberry.
