Lisa Kay Gipson

There will be a private viewing at 2:30 pm on Tuesday July 5, 2016 for immediate family and friends. A public visitation will be at East Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday July 6, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 pm with funeral service directly following. A Graveside Memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Lisa was born July 25, 1966 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of William Elvin and Karla Jeanne Powell Gipson. She survives. Lisa was proceeded in death by her father, William.

She gave birth to her only child Corey Blaine McCown who was adopted and cared for by Ryan and Beth Dowell. Lisa loved all of her sisters.

Surviving are Laurie (Joe) Tracewski, Angie Gipson, Tina (Jon) Smith, Beth (Ryan) Dowell and her ONLY brother Andy Gipson. Four nieces, Rachelle, Kimberly, Heather, Breanna, and her two nephews, Brandon and Bryson and one great niece Madeline.

One of her famous shared quotes was "Never Say Goodbye". Lisa was a giving person with a BIG heart and she will shine in each of us forever, just as her meaningful registry does with the Eversight Eye Bank of Illinois "Let Your Light Shine Down".

Lisa enjoyed being with her friends and family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
