Maxine Sweet, 92, passed peacefully from this life in her sleep at home in Denham Springs, Louisiana, on September 22, 2016, with her family near her.
Mrs. Sweet was born June 1, 1924, near Colfax, IL, the daughter of Welby and Alta (Jacobs) Mosier. She married Lyle Sweet in 1944, who preceded her in death. Together they had four children, all of whom survive: Sheryl (David) Park, Lubbock, TX; Maurine Sweet, Mexico; Lisa (Lee) Harris, Denham Springs, LA; Dana Lyle (Elizabeth) Sweet, San Antonio, TX.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Zain Hubert, Lana (Chris) Anderson, Lara (Stephen) Cambre, Daniel Sweet, Ladonna (Jeremy) Day, Abraham (Anna) Sweet, and Joanna Sweet. She had 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sweet is survived by two brothers, Rex (Clara) Mosier and Wayne Mosier, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her patient, quiet spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
