Mervill Orville Hall Jr. 74 of Bloomington, IL passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. He was born December 9, 1944 in Bloomington, IL to Mervill Orville and Helen (Reese) Hall Sr. He married Donitta Watson March 25, 1967 in Bloomington, IL.
He is survived by his daughters Teresa Hall, Kimberly Hall, Katherine (Paul) Mitchell all of Bloomington, Sabrina (Ron) Sheffield of Eastman, GA; one grandson Matthew Mitchell of Bloomington; one brother Carl (Sandy) Hall of Normal, four sisters Judy Wade of Stanford, Cara (Al) Carey of Normal, Angel Hall of Bloomington, Rose Ksenzarski of St. Cloud, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donitta, parents, Donitta’s parents, two brothers, one sister, three nephews, one niece, one great-niece, one brother in law, and one sister in law.
Mervill was a Field Seed Tech for Monsanto. He was an avid Chicago Cub and Chicago Bear fan, he loved to fish, he also loved going on cruises. But most importantly he loved spending time with his family and his dogs. He was the favorite uncle, a dynamite dad, a terrific brother and the best grandpa. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and his dogs Casey and Shadow.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 5 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior. It is the family’s request that all guests wear a Chicago team shirt or jersey for the services.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Mervill’s name to the American Lung Association.
In lieu of fresh cut flowers, the family asks for Perennial plants or Vegetable plants for the remembrance of Mervill year after year.
