Shirley L. Schulz, 88, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 9:02 p.m. at her residence. She was born January 18, 1930 in Bloomington, the daughter of Paul and Daisy Johnson Woith. She married David Schulz on January 23, 1949 in Bloomington. Shirley and David are now reunited, following his death on June 12, 2018.
Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Shirley was an avid reader, and loved puzzles and word searches. She also enjoyed all her time spent with her husband and soulmate, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by four daughters, including Debbie (Jim) Ekstam of Greenville, Kentucky; Dixie Schulz of Bloomington; Darlene (Jerry) Pratt of Normal; and Kim Erickson of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Stacey Erickson of Towanda; Andrew (Serena) Erickson of Normal; Scott (Kelsey) Pratt of Bloomington; and Sara Pratt of Normal; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 6th at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Entombment will follow at the East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
