

Ray was born to Richard and Iva [Jarboe] Woolridge in Louisville, KY on March 9, 1931. After Iva passing, Richard would later marry Georgia Daugherty in 1942. Ray attended school in Farmer City, IL.
Ray married Marilyn Milton on June 15, 1951, enjoying 65 years together. He also bravely served the US Air Force in Japan. For 49 years, Ray worked as a farmer in Leroy. He loved his John Deere Tractors as well and his 2 dogs, Ginger and Queenie.
Ray is survived by his wife, Marilyn Woolridge, sons, Gary (Sue) Woolridge of Bloomington, Jim (Joanne) Woolridge of Downs, IL, Tom (Kathy) Woolridge of Atlanta, IL, Jeff Woolridge of Leroy, IL, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother, William (Beverly) Daugherty of Lincoln, NE, sisters, Janice Campbell of Deland, IL, and Betty (Essel) Burton of Clinton, IL, and 3 sister in laws, Ann, Rita and Rachel.
He is preceded in death his parents, Richard and Iva Woolridge, step-mother, Georgia Daugherty, brothers, Paul, Bob, David, Lester, Jim, Bill, sisters, Rosemary Johnson, Judy Thomas, 1 infant brother, and 1 infant sister.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Oakgrove Cemetery, LeRoy.
