William "Tom" Thomas Whitehouse

Tom was married to Dorothy C. McGath of Bloomington, IL in 1941. Dorothy preceded Tom in death in 2001.

Tom and Dorothy had 4 children; R. Diane (Julius) Scofield of Adams, OR, Sharon K. (Ronald) Reum of Bourbonnais, IL, F. Lynn (Leslie) Whitehouse of Ridgefield, WA and Susan D. Whitehouse of Bloomington, IL.

Tom has 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Tom retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service in 1975. His occupation in retirement was driving school and charter bus for 15 years.

Tom and Dorothy also traveled extensively throughout retirement and loved participating in all styles of dancing. Tom was a 30 year member of East White Oak Bible Church and had currently attended Fairway Knolls Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation for Tom will be Friday March 20, from 4-6pm at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd, Bloomington. There will also be visitation from 2-3pm Saturday March 21 at Fairway Knolls Church of the Nazarene followed by a memorial service at 3pm, officiated by Rev. Mike Stitt & Rev. Mike Oleniczak. Tom will be interred in East Lawn Memorial Gardens beside his beloved Dorothy, his lifelong soul mate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to OSF Hospice of Normal, IL.
